Mrs. Bich and her husband were given a small plot of land by his parents to build a 32 m² house for their family to live in. The household has four members, including the couple and their two children. The older child, born in 2018, is currently in Grade 2, while the younger child, born in 2023, is attending nursery kindergarten.
The family does not own any farmland. Previously, the husband worked at a leather shoe factory, but about a year ago he had to quit his job so that both spouses could return home to care for his father, who was seriously ill. Unfortunately, his father has since passed away.
The family has 1,000m2 of garden land, which is used for housing and building a pig pen. In addition, the husband’s parents allow them to borrow 1,000 m² of land to grow saba bananas for sale. The husband takes care of the banana garden and raises one breeding sow, while also taking on any available casual labor when offered. However, this work is irregular and unstable.
Mrs. Bich is responsible for taking the children to and from school and staying at home to raise pigs. The family’s current income is around USD 30 per person per month.
After leaving the factory job, the husband received a social insurance payout, which the couple used to purchase 19 black pigs at a price of 650,000 VND per pig (approximately USD 25 per pig) to raise livestock, generate additional income, and create work opportunities for both spouses.
The family respectfully requests a loan to invest in animal feed and veterinary medicines for pig farming, in order to increase income and cover daily living expenses.
