Nguyen Phuoc Khang was born in 2015 in Bac Ruong Commune, Lam Dong Province. He lives alone with his mother in a very small and simple house built with money borrowed by his grandparents. The house has almost no basic furniture, and Khang often has to sit on the floor to study.
Khang’s family is in a very difficult situation. His mother has a severe mental health condition and is unable to work. The two of them have no farmland and no stable income. Each month, his mother receives only about 23 EUR in disability support, which is used mainly for food. Her monthly medicine costs around 17 EUR and must be covered by small contributions from relatives.
Since Khang’s mother cannot care for the family on her own, his grandparents have been the main support for both mother and son. Despite these challenges, Khang is a gentle and responsible child. He helps his mother with housework and studies hard, hoping that one day he can take care of her and build a better life.
Support of 30 EUR per month would help Khang buy school supplies, receive a proper study desk, and cover part of his mother’s monthly medicine costs. This support would give Khang better conditions to continue his education while also helping his mother maintain her treatment.
