Vannak

Vannak is studying in grade 4 at Toul Sala primary school and she is 10 years old. She is a good student in her class. Every day, she walks about 3 km with her friend from home to school. They are farmers with a small house and a small farming land of 0.20 hectares, with an income of $13 per person per month. Vannak is an orphan living with her single mother because her father died when she was 2 years old. Her mother grows paddy rice, raises chickens, and takes care of the neighbor’s children to earn some additional income.
