He underwent eye surgery in Ho Chi Minh City a year ago, and while he requires monthly check-ups, his vision remains blurry, preventing him from returning to work. Their income relies on daily labors and social allowance from their elderly mother. One of their sister stays with them to take care of the elderly mother, children and manages the household chores.

The family’s financial situation is dire, with the average income at just 892,000 VND (35 euros) per month per person. With three children in school, they struggle to afford basic needs, medical expenses, and education costs.
