Nguyen Duc Lam

Lam is living with his single mother – Ms. Nguyen Thi Tuy and an elderly grandmother in a small old house. Ms. Tuy, who suffers from mild mental illness, works as a recycler (buying scrap metal and selling it for profit and recycling) and earns US$2.27 a day ($55 a month on average). The above income only covers the daily living of 3 people, not enough for Lam’s education expenses such as uniforms and textbooks.
