Le Anh Ngoc

Le Anh Ngoc, she is living with her grandmother, Le Thi My Anh, born in 1953, lives in Hamlet 7, Long My ward, Can Tho city (old name: Long Tri A Commune, Long My district, Hau Giang province) a poor family with a local certificate.

Her parents divorced when Ngoc was only 1 year old, and since then she has lived with her father. Due to difficult circumstances, her father sent her to her grandmother to take care of her and went to work far away, occasionally sending some money back to her and her grandmother.

Ngoc’s grandmother is 72 years old. Before, when she was healthy, she often went to catch snails to sell for extra income, but for about 2 years now, due to poor eyesight and poor vision, she has not been able to catch snails anymore and has not made any money. Her father used to occasionally send some money for the two of them to live and take care of Ngoc’s schooling. However, for more than a year now, Ngoc’s father has not sent money and has not visited her anymore.

Currently, daily life mainly depends on the support of the locality and neighbors. In addition to school hours, when she comes home, Anh Ngoc helps her grandmother clean the house, do laundry, cook rice… She dreams of becoming a teacher to support her grandmother in the future.

In the group of visitors in March 2025, Ms. Antoinette and her husband visited the family and supported Anh Ngoc’s monthly tuition fees in April & May 2025. A charity group from Ho Chi Minh City also helped build a charity house for her family, completed in June 2025.
