Vo Van Duy – Born in 2012 (14 years old)

Dong Kho, Lam Dong (former Tanh Linh)

30€/month for 12 months

Vo Van Duy

Vo Van Duy, grade 9, lives with his parents, older sister, and younger brother in Dong Kho 3 village. His family is classified as a poor household. His older sister is in Grade 12 and hopes to continue to university, while his younger brother is in Grade 6.

The family has only a small rice field of about 2,000 square meters. Duy’s father takes seasonal labor jobs whenever work is available, while his mother collects and sells recyclable materials. Together, they earn only around 100 EUR per month to support a family of five and cover the education costs of three children.

Duy has lived with a physical disability since childhood due to a lack of oxygen to his brain. His arms and legs are affected, making walking and writing difficult. He currently depends on his parents to take him to and from school every day. Despite these challenges, Duy is a determined student. He achieved excellent academic results in the past school year and continues to work hard toward his education.

Support of 30 EUR per month would help cover Duy’s school supplies, learning expenses, and other essential needs. Duy also hopes to have a three wheeled electric bicycle, costing approximately 400 EUR, so that he can travel to school more independently. This would not only give him greater independence and confidence but also allow his parents to spend more time working to support their three children.

For Duy, this support would mean more than financial assistance. It would give a hardworking student with limited mobility a better opportunity to continue his education and move toward a more independent future.
