Tran Gia Hung was born in 2015 and lives in a four-member family officially classified as poor. The family owns a small rice field, but its harvest is used mainly for their own food.
Hung’s father works as a construction helper, earning about EUR 10 (VND 300,000) only when work is available. His mother has several health conditions, requires regular treatment and is unable to work. His older sister has already left school.
Despite these hardships, Hung remains determined to continue his education. Next year, he will attend a school farther from home. As his family cannot afford a bicycle, he plans to travel with a friend.
Hung dreams of becoming a teacher and earning a stable income to support his parents.
