Tran Anh Bao & Tran Ngoc Nha Uyen

Bao and Uyen are two young students living with their grandmother in Tanh Linh District, Lam Dong Province, Vietnam. At the end of the 2025 to 2026 school year, Bao completed Grade 4 and Uyen completed Grade 1 with satisfactory academic results. Both children are known as polite, caring, and hardworking students who continue to attend school despite the many challenges they face at home.
The two children have experienced significant loss at an early age. Their mother passed away in a traffic accident three years ago, and their father left the area shortly afterward. He has not been in contact with the family since then. Today, Bao and Uyen are being raised solely by their elderly grandmother, who is now 74 years old.
The family is classified as a poor household and owns no farmland or other source of income. Despite her age and declining health, their grandmother works every day selling lottery tickets to support the family. On a good day, she sells about 100 tickets and earns around 4 EUR. However, when the weather is bad or her health prevents her from working, the family has little or no income.
Because their grandmother must spend most of the day working, Bao and Uyen walk to and from school by themselves. All expenses for food, education, clothing, and daily necessities depend entirely on their grandmother’s modest earnings. Although life is difficult, she remains determined to keep her grandchildren in school. She often says, “As long as I still have the strength, I will do everything I can to help my grandchildren continue their education.”
To help Bao and Uyen continue their education in better conditions, the family is requesting a monthly sponsorship of 30 euros per month. This support will help provide:
– School supplies and educational materials,
– Extra classes,
– Nutritious food and other essential daily needs.
This assistance would not only reduce the burden on their elderly grandmother but also provide Bao and Uyen with a more stable environment in which to learn and grow.
