Davy is an 8-year-old boy living in a difficult family situation in rural Cambodia. He is currently studying in Grade 2 and will move to Grade 3 in the 2026–2027 academic year.
Davy lives with his grandmother together with his older brother, Visal. After their mother remarried, the two boys moved to live with their grandmother. Visal, who was studying in Grade 9, decided to leave school to learn car repair skills so that he can prepare for his future and hopefully support his family.
Although Visal has stopped his education, Davy is still young and has the opportunity to continue learning. However, his grandmother faces financial difficulties in providing for the children and covering the costs of Davy’s education and daily needs.
CAO previously provided support to Visal for four months. Since Visal is no longer attending school, we would like to continue supporting his younger brother, Davy, who is still actively pursuing his education.
Davy is requesting US$30 per month to help cover the costs of extra classes, a school uniform, learning materials, and food. This monthly support will help reduce the financial burden on his grandmother and ensure that Davy has the basic necessities he needs to continue his education.
With your support, Davy can stay in school and have a better opportunity to build a brighter future. A small monthly contribution can make a meaningful difference in his life and help ensure that poverty and family difficulties do not force him to leave school too early.
