Lan’s family lives in deep hardship. After her mother tragically passed away from an electric shock when Lan was just one, her father has raised her alone. They have no house of their own, no land to farm. Out of kindness, the owner of a dragon fruit farm lets them stay in a small shelter on the property. In return, Lan’s father works as a day laborer, earning only 200,000–250,000 VND per day (around €7–9), and only when work is available. Lately, falling dragon fruit prices mean less work and less income, pushing the family into even greater difficulty.
Despite everything, Lan is a kind, hardworking, and bright student. She helps her father with chores, keeps their modest home tidy, and remains dedicated to her studies.
Lan will be in grade 5 this September. Just €11 a month can help keep Lan in school and ease the burden on her struggling family. Your support can bring hope and stability to her future.
