Morn Sokching

Morn Sokching is a 10-year-old primary school student living in Trapeang Domrey village, Kampong Ampil commune, Romdoul district, Svay Rieng province, Cambodia. In 2026, she is studying in Grade 4 and is known as a polite, hardworking, and motivated student in her class. Despite many difficulties in her daily life, Sokching remains committed to her education and dreams of building a better future for herself and her family.

Every day, Sokching walks approximately 3 kilometers from her home to school, a journey that takes nearly 50 minutes. Occasionally, she can ride on a friend’s bicycle, but this rarely happens. During the rainy season, the road becomes muddy and difficult, which sometimes causes her to arrive late or miss school.

Sokching comes from a very poor family with limited and unstable income. Her parents are farmers but do not own any rice field land. The family lives in a small and modest house, and their income is estimated at only around $23 per person per month. Her mother, Mrs. Neang Sitheat (50 years old), stays at home to care for the children, while her father, Mr. Morn Ron (49 years old), works as a construction laborer in Bavet city to support the family.

The household consists of four family members:

  1. Mother: Neang Sitheat (50 years old)
  2. Father: Morn Ron (49 years old)
  3. Morn Sokching (10 years old, Grade 4 student)
  4. Younger sister: Morn Sokchea (5 years old)

Due to financial hardship, the family struggles to cover daily expenses, healthcare costs, and educational needs. Sokching often goes to school with old clothes and limited school supplies. She wakes up early every morning to help with household chores such as cleaning before walking to school.

Her breakfast usually consists of leftover rice and food from the previous evening, and she must bring drinking water from home each day. Because of transportation difficulties and family challenges, her school attendance is sometimes irregular.

Despite these hardships, Sokching is eager to continue her education and hopes to attend extra classes to improve her learning. However, her family cannot afford the additional costs for transportation, study materials, and educational support.

Without assistance, Sokching may face increasing difficulty in continuing her studies.

Request for Sponsorship

To help Sokching continue her education in better conditions, the family is requesting a monthly sponsorship of 30 euros per month. This support will help provide:

  • School supplies and educational materials
  • Food and basic daily needs
  • Transportation support, including a bicycle
  • School uniforms and clothing
  • Extra classes and educational assistance

Your support would not only help Sokching remain in school, but also give her hope, encouragement, and the opportunity to build a brighter future.

A small contribution can make a meaningful difference in the life of this young girl.
