MINH KHANG & QUỲNH NHI

Le Minh Khang, born in 2017, is currently a Grade 4 student. He lives with his younger sister, Nguyen Thi Quynh Nhi, who is in Grade 1, and their grandmother, who is over 70 years old.

Their mother left the family when Nhi was only seven months old. Since then, their father has struggled emotionally and become heavily dependent on alcohol. He does not have a stable job and provides little care or financial support for his children. At times, he leaves home for weeks without contacting the family. As a result, Khang and Nhi have been raised mainly by their elderly grandmother.

Despite her age, their grandmother still takes occasional farm jobs, such as weeding and rice planting, to earn a little money for food and the children’s education. Her income is very limited and irregular. At the beginning of each school year, she cannot afford new uniforms, school bags, or books, so most of the children’s school items are second hand donations that she asks from relatives and neighbors.

Support of 30 EUR per month would help provide Khang and his younger sister with school supplies, uniforms, learning materials, and other basic needs. More importantly, this regular support would ease the burden on their elderly grandmother and give both children a more secure opportunity to remain in school despite the lack of support from their parents.
