Quoc Thinh, an orphan on his father’s side, is currently attending the 5th grade. He resides with his mother and a younger brother who is in the 4th grade. Unfortunately, their house collapsed two months ago, but the reconstruction was supported by the pagoda and the Thien Chi center.
Lacking cultivated land, the family relies on income generated from seasonal agricultural work, and occasionally, Quoc Thinh’s mother collects and sells bamboo shoots, earning approximately $4 per day. Given their limited income, financing the tuition fees for both children proves to be challenging. A scholarship for Quoc Thinh would serve as a crucial aid in alleviating the family’s financial strain, particularly with regard to tuition, textbooks, and uniforms necessary for the continuation of their education.
