Huynh Ngoc Thanh Nhang is a Grade 2 student at Phan Dinh Phung Primary School. She is a hardworking young girl growing up in a family facing severe financial hardship and multiple health challenges.
Nhang lives in a family of six, with four children all still in school. The family is classified as a poor household, owns no farmland, and currently lives in a rented house. Her father suffers from diabetes, kidney failure, and other serious complications. His health has deteriorated to the point that he is no longer able to work and requires frequent hospital treatment.
Her mother is now the family’s only breadwinner, but she is also battling liver cancer. Despite her illness, she continues working at a footwear factory to provide for her husband and four children. Her modest salary must cover rent, food, education, and the family’s growing medical expenses.
Nhang herself is also facing a serious health challenge. She has completely lost the sight in one eye, while the remaining eye requires regular treatment and follow up visits at an eye hospital in Ho Chi Minh City. Despite her limited vision and the difficulties at home, Nhang continues to attend school and tries her best to learn alongside her classmates.
Support of 30 EUR per month would help cover Nhang’s school supplies, learning materials, and other essential education costs, while also contributing to her eye examinations and treatment. This regular assistance would reduce some of the pressure on her mother and, most importantly, help Nhang protect her remaining vision and continue her education with greater confidence.
