Hoang Anh Hung, a 6th-grade student, was born into a family facing considerable challenges. The family, consisting of six members—husband, wife, and four school-going children—includes Hoang Thi Hanh Nhi, a second-year student specializing in English, Hoang Anh Huy in 11th grade, Hoang Anh Hung in 6th grade, and Hoang Ho Hanh Vy in 2nd grade.
His father’s health has been compromised since a serious accident four years ago, resulting in a fracture of the right arm, tendons of the right foot, damaged blood vessels, and five fractured ribs. Currently employed in a poultry business, his father undertakes light tasks. Meanwhile, his mother, Ho Thi Xuan Hien, raises chickens and engages in occasional sewing work.
With a family income of $1.42 per person per day, it proves challenging for them to afford the school fees for all four children. A scholarship for Anh Hung would significantly improve the family’s circumstances.
