Ho Thi Thanh Truc

Ho Thi Thanh Truc has been raised by her maternal grandparents since she was three years old, after her parents divorced. Despite growing up in a difficult family situation, Truc is a hardworking student who dreams of becoming a teacher one day.

The family owns no farmland and has very limited income. Her grandfather used to work spraying pesticides on farms, but after suffering from pesticide poisoning, his health declined and he is no longer able to work. Her grandmother has diabetes but still sells fruit at the local market every day to support the family and cover Truc’s education.

The family also cares for Truc’s younger uncle, who has autism and requires regular support, while her older uncle has no stable job. As a result, much of the family’s daily expenses depend on the small and uncertain income earned by her grandmother.

Truc understands how hard her grandparents work to keep her in school. After class, she often helps her grandmother at the fruit stall by packing fruit and collecting money from customers. Despite the challenges at home, she remains motivated to study and hopes to become a teacher so that she can teach and support children in the future.

Support of 30 EUR per month would help cover Truc’s school supplies, learning materials, uniforms, and other essential education costs. Part of the support could also ease the daily financial burden on her elderly grandparents. Most importantly, this regular assistance would give Truc a more secure opportunity to remain in school and continue pursuing her dream of becoming a teacher.
