The family consists of five member, including 3 school-aged children. Linh ‘s father, Mr. Thanh, is in poor health, suffering from type 2 diabetes and a severe splenic abscess, which requires ongoing medication and injections. His condition worsened in June 2024, necessitating costly surgery. Due to his illness, he is unable to work, and the family’s income relies solely on her mother, Ms. Phuong’s work.

However, her job is unstable, and she now stays home to care for her sick husband and children. She processes lotus flowers at home to earn extra income, but it is not enough. The family’s average income is just 700,000 VND (30 euros) per month per people.
A monthly scholarship to Doan Ngoc Linh, grade 5, can reduce the burden of educational costs and ease the family’s financial burden.
