Quynh Anh’s mother tragically passed away from liver cancer during the Covid pandemic. Just as the family was coming to terms with this loss after three years of mourning, her father also passed away in an accident. Facing many difficulties, Quynh Anh moved in with her maternal grandmother after her mother’s death. Despite these hardships, Quynh Anh remains resilient and dedicated to her studies.
Currently, Quynh Anh receives an orphan allowance every month. She lives with her grandmother, aunts, uncles, and cousins—a total of 11 people crowded together in a small house of about 60 square meters. Her grandmother, now elderly and grieving the loss of her daughter and son-in-law, is in poor health and stays at home to care for the grandchildren. The family’s monthly income comes from small contributions from each of her children and from cultivating a 2,000-square-meter rice field to provide food. After school, Quynh Anh helps her aunt take care of her younger cousins.
She will be in grade 7 this September. Just €11 a month can help keep Quynh Anh in school and ease the burden on her struggling family. Your support can bring hope and stability to her future.
