Roat is one of the poor pupils living in Bosmonleu village, Bosmon commune, Romdoul district, Svay Rieng province. In 2024, she is studying in grade 3 and she is 9 years old. She is a good student in her class. Every day, she walks about 3 km to school. It takes about 50 minutes. Sometimes her friends pick her up with the bike to school together but not often.
The income of this family is $11 per person per month. She lives with her elderly grandparents and three brothers. Her parents died from diseases. Her grandmother had an accident more than 10 years ago, which caused her to become blind and suffer from dementia. Her grandfather, 76 years old, is the only one who earns money to support the family by washing dishes at village festivals.
