 Some people say: "We ask people what they want before acting." But when the villagers know that your priority is handicrafts, do they tell you about the sick pig? Does one speak of fertilizers to a doctor? This approach is insufficient.
The involvement of the villagers (key #1) is maximal when they are confident that their priorities will be taken into account, and they are various, as life is complex: we preach for integrated action (key #2)! It is not enough to say: the peasants believe what they see! When during several years they saw you helping some neighbors efficiently for agriculture, then only they speak to you about their mango trees that seem sick. And to be efficient in the length: lasting (key #3) low cost actions. |
